Eye Pain

by bigrunner, Nov 15, 2007 07:05PM
hello,
I have been having this sort of an eye pain for a few weeks now. I'll try my best to describe it. I get this about once a day. It starts off with a bit of a irriation where i would have to blink a lot. Then the pain starts and it feels like i have something in both my eyes. The pain would be so painful to a point where i can open my eyes for more than a second, and my eyes get teary and red. The pain seems to go away faster if i rub it or put some pressure on it. This last about anywhere from 20-60 secs and the pain is gone. My eyes stay red for a 5 minutes or so and it starts to look normal again. I didnt think it was a big deal, but i get this pain once a day, mainly at night. Any thoughts of what my problem is?

TIA -Richard

Any eye that is red and painful and teary needs an exam by an Eye MD ASAP. Contact ophthalmologists in your area first thing tomorrow morning and ask to be seen as a work in medical problem on Friday.
