Eye Problems - Lid Inflammation/Pain/Watering/Oozing

This started two days ago.  I woke with a swollen eyelid.  Over the next 36 hours it progressively got worse.

Last night I applied a patch of colloidal silver and slept with it on my eye.  My eye oozed yellow stuff.  It is also more swollen - into the upper eyelid portion.   The pain is excruciating.  The swelling is worse.

My doctor called to make me an emergency exam with an Opthamologist and the earliest he can see me is next Tuesdy.  I do not have a fever, however, upon waking this morning my eye was 'glued' shut by the oozing.  It was also very difficult to open.  I can only open it a sliver.  And, it is very painful.  It is also watering now.

Any advice is greatly appreciated.  I need to know that I am not panicking over nothing.

Thank you for your time and advice,

Cynthia

The colloidal silver is a waste, don't use it. Have you GP contact another ophthalmologist that will do a emergency evaluation today or tomorrow morning. Also you can go to www.aao.org and start calling Eye MDs near you. Treat this as something that should not wait till Tuesday.
