Eye Pupils causing concern

Hi I am 16 year old male. Last year i went away to Greece. When I got back home i notice that my eye pupils were not the same size. The pupils do still constrict and the larger pupil swaps between both eyes. Also recently my eyes have started to become quiet sensitive to light but only from strong sun light. I have also been having pain in one of the eyes. Not a bad enough pain to make me go to the doctors but bad enough to see if i need to.
Thanks in advance.

a new difference in the size of the pupils is of concern and needs to be checked by an ophthalmologist. However perhaps 10-13% of people have unequal pupils (aneisocoria) and many become aware of it suddenly. Look at photos from 4 to 5 years ago to see if there were equal then. If they were tell your parents and see an ophthalmolgist.

Hi again. Thanks for the information. Have just looked through some photos the ones of me when i was young are hard to tell as i used to have very dark eyes but the ones where there is red eye there is a difference between the two pupils. The older pictures also show pupils difference. Have you any idea what this could mean? My mother works at a doctors practice so i will talk to her and get her to set an appointment up for me. Ive read on other websites that it could be a brian tumor or aneurysm but ive never had any constant head aches. Also i read that it could be to do with a tumor in the chest or lymph node pressure. But i ont know what a lymph node is any help with that please?
Thanks again.

Go ahead and see an eye MD ophthalmologist. Take in the old photos. DOn't let the techs put eyedrops in till the Eye MD sees you. It will likely have a happy ending. Find an eye MD at www.aao.org
