Eye Twitching & Depth Perception Problems

My younger brother has just recently been complaining about his right eye.  He says it started with his right eye twitching just a few days ago, and now he is having a few depth perception problems.  He specifically gave me the example that say he is 50 feet away from a staircase, as he walks closer to the staircase it appears to be the same distance (and same size) from him despite the fact that he is walking closer to it.  It isn't until he is right up on the staircase that he sees it correctly.  He has been to an opthamologist and our family eye doctor and neither one of them could figure out what the problem was, they said everything appeared to be fine.  He has also said his right eye has felt like its twitching, but its actually not moving.  I was wondering if anyone could help give us an idea of what might be causing this and how to treat it?  Or at least maybe the proper physician to take him to?  He has always been healthy and never had any health issues in the past.  He does wear glasses though.  Thank you so much for your help!

His complaints do not bring a specific condition to mind. If it gets a lot worse suggest next step is see a neuroophthalmologist. In USA find one at www.aao.org
