Eye Twitching

by akhuerta, Jan 01, 2008 02:33PM
I have had twitches in my lower left eye and upper right eye for the past 3 weeks.  They occur every 5-20 minutes and I even have them when I wake up in the middle of the night.  I have tried cutting down/out caffeine, getting more sleep and trying to reduce stress and so far nothing has helped.  Will these ever go away?  Could it be a symptom of something else going on?  I have allergies & migraines, but haven't started any new medication recently.  Any thoughts would be appreciated.  Thanks.

Most times its myokymia. Googe that term. If you have not had an eye exam by a MD ophthalmologist in the last year see one. Find one near you at www.aao.org
