Eye complications

by cindy903, Oct 12, 2008 08:32AM
I have Lyme and first had numerous floaters as one of my first symptoms.

I have noticed that the floaters have increased since I found someone who would prescribe doxy (200mg 2x daily).

I have also noticed (and maybe I'm just now noticing it) that I have small flashes of light in my peripheral vision when I look at the sky.

I don't believe this is normal. What could it be? If it's not serious and just (yet another) annoying symptom of Lyme that  refuses to abate with treatment, that would help put my mind at ease.

The real problem with Lyme is not so much a chronic disease but being overwhelmed by the plethora of unending symptoms.

Although I live in an area (kansas city, MO) where lyme disease is common and have had many patients with it none have had it in the eye.

I would get a second opinion from a retinal Eye MD. Find one near you at www.aao.ort
