Eye floater question

Eye floater question

I am a diabetic for about 16 years. I have a few floaters in my right eye and one in my left. I go to the eye doctor every 6 months or year and I was last there at the end of August of this year.
Everything is okay with my eyes and he believes what I'm seeing are floaters.
Well the one floater in my right eye, it 'flickers' or is kind of 'shimmery' I don't know how to explain it. I mostly notice it in darker areas. I was wondering if anyone knew if this is normal for a floater or if it could be something else?
Also have a question about vision in the dark. When I am in almost complete darkness, it is kind of 'snowy' like noise, is that normal or is there something wrong?

I forgot to add that I am a 22 year old female and that the floater is smaller in size and closer to the inside corner of my eye.

Only by looking in the eye could it be stated whether this is a floater or different problem. You should be under the care of a Eye MD ophthalmologist and he/she would be the one to discuss that 'shimmer'.

The "snow-static" in the dark is usually hyperawareness of entopic phenomena.
