Eye floaters

Hi, I am fifteen and have had eye floaters for several years now. There are a large number of floaters particularly in my right eye, while only one very hard to notice floater in my left eye. In the last couple of months they've been easier to notice and harder to ignore. All the websites for floaters that I have visited wrote that floaters are usually ONLY seen when looking at a bright solid background like a blue sky or a white wall, but in my case thats not so. I see them EVERY WHERE every time I turn my eyes. I am worried. Is it odd to have floaters at such a young age? What should I do? I do NOT want to go blind!

Tell your parents and have them make an appointment with an ophthalmologist for an exam. They can find one at www.aao.org
