There is no medication or laser or surgical treatment for the common floater. The best thing is to "tune them out" and ignore them. Floaters have no effect on cataract surgery.

What effect if any would a floater have on Crystal Lens Replacement? I have had a very large, very prominent floater since the summer of 2005. It is a little better but is still very much there. I often have to blink to focus. Would this interfere with how well I do with a Crystal Lens Replacement?
Hi, I have had severe eye floaters for almost a year now.. you just have to learn to accomodate to them.. I never thought I would.. but as time went on I stopped worrying about them less and less.. my remedy for you is to not think about them.. they are there.. there is no use trying to look for them.. they will still be there.. however in most cases the floaters dissappear after awhile.. it usuall takes a couple months or longer for a floater to go away.. but just learn to get used to them for now.. its very common.. and I have the same issue going on.. just be glad all you have is floaters.. look at all the eye problems other people on this forum have.. take care.. as I know personally floaters are extremely annoying.. just dont let them little things get the best of you.. im no doctor.. but as far as I know there is no treatment or cure..
