Eye irritation and photophobia

My age is 17 years, my eyes now a days are getting too much sensitive to light for example when in bright sunlight I see board from cars, at night I see halos and I have very dry eyes, they are so dry sometimes that it feels gritty to even blink, also after that my eyes produce a sticky liquid film which blurs my vision when I blink. when I wash my eyes with clean water they cause a lot of irritation until it is rinsed completely, also when I blink I see a small irregular flash of something bright and this thing occurs when I am in a semi light conditions there is no flash in complete darkness or in broad day light.. it does not occur when I move my eyes out anything, just when I blink.. I visited an opthalmologist and he said I have mild dry eyes ( examining my eyes with some dye on cornea and looking through blue light) I see halos and glare at day and night resp.. can anyone relate to these symptoms? I don't think it's just dry eye!

Where do you live? Do you have access to a corneal specialist or has a cornea specialist examined your eyes?

Dry eyes is extremely rare in a 17 year old male. Do you have any underlying disease like rheumatoid arthritis.  Medication can cause dry eyes in young people. Are you on anti-anxiety medication or antihistamine pills.

Sorry doctor actually I am a student and this is the first chronic condition that I am going through.. Actually so much is occurring with my vision and I am not getting any explanation for it is increasing my anxiety.. Sir I don't wish you to give me a diagnosis but explain what may me be the possible causes and what things I should include in my lifestyle to prevent these, sir I request you to share your vast experience and give me some insight.. Sir what I have mentioned here is quite different from what I posted earlier and I followed your advise to wash your eyes before going to bed to relieve dry eyes but washing my eyes itself cause my eyes to become irritated and red.. Sir I have visited quite a no of doctors but none has recommended a corneal topography saying halos may be occurring due to dry eyes.. Even if you have no further comments, I am thankful to you for reading my posts regularly till now and sharing what you can Dr John ☺
