Eye muscle damage

Eye muscle damage

I'm and inventor/designer for Rubbermaid and  use the computer day and night.  For over a month now I can't look at anything up close, for example, drawing, on the computer, reading and even the TV about 12 feet away.  My vision is great and have no problem seeing.  The problems I get after looking at anything up close is burning and eye muscle presure (the presure you get when the eye doctor nums the eyes to put drops in).  The problems start after focusing on anything up close or the TV in about 3 minutes. When I look in the distance it takes about 45 minutes to get the presure and burning to go away.  When I look in the distance there's no problem at all. I did my own experiment wearing very dark sun glasses and that helps about 65 percent.  I went to 2 different eye surgeons.  One said it was eye strain and take drops for dry eyes and other said the I muscle is going into spasms from stress and should take a pill to relax.  I truely believe I damaged the eye muscles pretty well.  My questions - Why didn't I get the basic eye strain like everyone else as a warning?  If I struggle to look at/work at things up close will I make things worse?  Please help me here!

How old are you?  You may be a latent hyperope.  See an ophthalmologist and get a cylcoplegic refraction.  This is a check for glasses with the focusing muscles paralyzed (dilated).
