Eye muscle spasming

I have a problem with my left eye.  The muscles around it seem to spasm or pulse.  I am familiar with the normal eye twitch but this is different.

I am short sighted and use contacts for part of the day.

This spasming has been happening for six months.

My GP cannot find any cause or problem.  The eye is not red or sore.  I am not stressed and get plenty of sleep.

Sometimes I can see the muscle twitching although this is rare.

I am 50 and in good health.

Can anyone offer any opinions.

This is usually due to stress.  Please see an ophthalmologist to make sure there are no other problems from your eye.

The answer from a vitamin deficency point of view
would be to buy a bottle of vit B6 .........

I don't know how, or if, it relates to the eye, but for muscle spasms (legs, hands, etc.) B1, not B6, is what is recommended. It worked for me very quickly.
