Eye okay?

Hey there.I just got out of the shower a while ago and went to put my drops for my dry eyes in.I washed my hands before inserting the drops but because I had washed the hair product (pomade) out of my hair and that can leave residue I wonder if maybe there was a small bit remaining on my hands.I washed my hands numerous times and they seemed to be okay and figured even there was a slight residue on my hands it wouldn't do any harm.I pressed in at my tear ducts after inserting the drops to distribute in the eye but since then my left eye has felt somewhat blunt or something, some kind of uncomfortable sensation anyway.Could any slight residue from the hair product be causing this or is just a normal thing, baring in mind that I did wash my hands a few times (with water and without soap) before inserting the drops? Thank you.

I doubt you have done anything serious. I would just use artificial tears and I suspect your eye will be fine tomorrow. The hair product is not associated with serious eye irritation.
