Eye pain - on the eyeball inside upper eyelid

by wchen, Jul 03, 2009 12:29PM
There is a persistent eye pain on one of the eyeballs inside upper eyelid.  Could this be caused by lack of sleep?  I work at a restaurant for long hours, but I still manage to get at least 7-8 hours of sleep.  Please help!

You know what I am going to say.  I'm sorry but I cannot diagnose your problem here on the internet.  It could be something simple like a chalazion or stye or something more complex like dry eye syndrome, scleritis, uveitis, superior limbal keratoconjunctivitis, or even a foreign body.  See an ophthalmolgist right away.  Try warm compresses and artificial tears in the meantime.
