Eye redness and smaller eyes

After steroid drops (Tobradex) for quite sometime and upon stopping such medication, problem returns. What would be the next step, next medication. I know that one cannot continue the steroid drops for a long time. What medication is usuaaly given in this case? Doc also gave drops for dry eyes but redness and slight swell returned. Thank you for your advice.

Sorry but can't answer your question. Tobradex has an antibiotic (tobramycin) and a steroid (dexamathasone) so it can be used for both infection and/or allergy/irritaion/inflammaion. So I can't tell why it was prescribed.

I would think the next thing would be to get a second opinion from an opthalmologist Eye MD ideally one that specializes in cornea/external disease. you can find one near you at www.aao.org
