Eye strain

recently i started anti depressants cause the doc thought i was suffereing anxiety because of the pains in my head and neck and blurry vision. Is it possible that my prob was actually eye strain.. ive had this for 9 weeks now.. its on and off but really hurts when im driving on the computer or trying to watch tv. ive seen a opthamologist but she never mentioned eye strain. i have since started wearing glasses and have noticed a huge difference already.

antidepressants make it somewhat harder in some people to focus especially if near or past age 40 or have latent hyperopia farsightedness.

It will not create a permanent need for glasses.

Glad the glasses help, hope your meds do also

ive just turned 31 and this suddenly hit me. The glasses have made a huge difference since i got them yesterday, whereas the antidepressants haven't made much difference over the last 5 weeks- except making me feel worse.
off to see doc on sat to see if actually need them.. or atleast a lower dosage- hopefully.

how long could it take for eye strain to repair..? its been 9 weeks since it started...

In some people it doesn't clean and the medication needs to be changed. Do not do anything without discussing with your physician

hi again
just wondering since i got glasses i still get dizzy. is this normal with adjusting to having them for first time? its been over 2 weeks since i started wearing them.
ive since stopped my medication as discussed with my doc. all is ok other then eyes stil not ok.. dizzy when moving suddenly or standing for long periods..
