Face down for 3 days vs face down for 2 weeks

I'm having my surgery in 5 days and was told by my surgeon that I'd only have to be face down for 3 days, yet I read about people having to be face down for weeks.  Why the difference?  I was lucky to have already had cataract surgery on both eyes, so won't have to go through that part.
