Farsightedness correction

Farsightedness correction

My daughter is almost 6 years, and last year we went to the ophthalmologist and he said that she has farsightedness (+5.5 on both eyes), and he prescribed +4 glasses for both eyes.  She was able to read fine, but she started complaining about headaches recently (occasionally), and we went again to the same doctor, and he said that now she has +6 on both eyes, and prescribed +5 glasses for both eyes.   I do not feel comfortable increasing the power soon and I would like to wait and see if she would be okay with the +4 glasses.  Would that be okay?

Make sure she is seeing a pediatric ophthalmologist and that a cycloplegic refraction (dilated check for glasses) was performed using retinoscopy.  Using too weak of glasses and having her live with eye strain is not necessarily a good idea but is unlikely to damage her vision in the long run.  Do make sure the perscriptions written are accurate though.
