Finding a chalazion expert?

Hi,

I have had a chalazion for about 3 months now, it has settled down to a small size and seems to have 'hardened' although its still reddish in color, and it's quite noticeable. I tried to have it removed by an ophtalmologist but in the middle of the operation she backed out of it because she said it was very close to the (lacrymal?) gland and she didn't want to risk damaging it. So she cut a bit further down and atempted to drain it but she didn't manage to drain it. I asked her about the steroid injection but she said she doesn't know about this treatment, even though it seems to be more or less well known.

So now I am looking for a doctor that has a lot of experience treating these things. I live in Paris, so there must be somebody or some clinic where people have good experience with this? Any tips on how to find it?

Also, are there other alternatives? Can a (oculo?) plastic surgeon take it out?

Thank you very much in advance,
Diego

Also, I am willing to travel to another country if it is necessary to find the right experts.
