First Aid for Eye Floters

First Aid for Eye Floters

I am 62 and have elevated blood pressure (not Critical) and no health insurance. Yesterday I began seeing a dark or black floater in one eye. I have over the years seen white or transparent floaters that went away in a few hours. While it began small and seemed like I was seeing something moving out of the corner of my eye, it later developed into a much larger pattern that appears like a blood vessel.

What first aid can I provide to reduce further damage until I can figure out some form of treatment plan?

There is no treatment for the common floater. If you have flashes of light or loss of peripheral vision or showers of floaters (like soot in te eye) See and Eye MD. Find one at www.aao.org  The cost of the exam will not be that expensive.
