Flash of light

What does the flash of light looks light when you have retinal tear or detachment. Are they yellow or white? How often would you see the flash? Do you see it in your perpherial vision (corner of your eye) or in the whole vision? Thanks.

It looks like a small dim arc of light.  It can occur only once or twice a day or more often.  Some patient never notice it.  I believe you are asking about your peripheral vision with a retinal detachment.  This depends on how alert you are and how fast the detachment progresses.  You can loose the vision slowly or rapidly from the periphery to the center of your vision.
