Flashing Vision

I had Restor four months ago.   I started with 20/20 but did it because of presbyopia and was told this would correct for life - no more reading glasses.

After procedure my vision was terrible.  I had to get glasses for distance because "I told you that your astigmastism would get worse".   So on I went to PRK in both eyes and then YAG, which scratched my cornea and hurt immensely.     Now vision is slightly improved but I have flashes ALL THE TIME.   Is this something to be concerned about?   I did get a second opinion to be certain that the Restor lens was done corrrectly.    Apparently they lens look okay.    So, should I be concerned.   This has been a very difficult four months.   I have even had to seek psychiatric treatment for anxiety.   I am afraid that I have ruined my vision and it cost me $8,000.  Oh, yes, the Doctor who did the procedure told me that he is "The Best in the World"!

Hello wishingsite   If you review the postings on the two eye forums you will see there are a lot of unhappy people with multifocal and accommodating intraocular implants. There are also a smaller number of very happy individuals.

Some individuals with regular monofocal implants and a much larger number of multifocal implants are bothered by glare, streaking, flarring, ghost images, and poor night vision.

I would suggest a third opinion and when you get your consult ask for a careful glasses test (refraction). Most likely you are going to need glasses for night vision and other tasks. They may need to be anti-reflective or tinted.
