Floaters/concussions?!?!?

Hello~

Ok so first of all, I have had some severe concussions from soccer over the years since I've been playing.  The last one, over 2 years ago, involved a cleat and my eye...

Ever since I have seen floaters at an alarming rate.  After a while I stopped going to emergency rooms after soccer injuries...the last concussion included.  I plan on going to the eye doctor over break as my eyes have gotten pretty bad.  Is there a point in going?  Are they going to be able to do anything about the floaters?  Is there a chance this is more severe then I think it is?

Also the left eye won't stop tearing....for the past 2 weeks people think I have been crying when really it is just my eye won't stop watering...suggestions?

Thanks!

You definitely need to have a dilated retina exam to rule out holes/tears/detachments. You should also play soccer with goggle eye protection. Soccer eye injuries often serious are becoming much more common.

The tearing is a different deal and there are so many causes that I can't give you a likely cause. That also should be seen by an Eye MD.

Also, the floaters are mostly lots of black little dots and sometimes they are light flashing ones...
