Floaters in Children

Is it common for children to have floaters?  I know this is usually an over 50 thing as I have them myself
but my grandson is 10 and he's been complaining of what sounds like floaters in his vision.  Is this unusual
and if so should it be checked out?  I know there is no cure for floaters (at least none I would try).

Dear ozzie777,

There are a myriad of issues which can cause floaters in adults and children.  I definitely would get your child’s eyes examined.
