Floaters

I have been to see a doctor regarding floaters in my eyes, and just want to make sure of the answer I am getting.  Is it normal for floaters to be a speck with thin vague lines on either side, and do floaters move with the eye.  I have recently noticed more specks adjacent and above the first and they all move at the same time with my eye, and are stationary.  Could any of this be associated with the recent high blood pressure I have been having?

floaters in the classic sense result from a gel in the middle of our eyes called the vitreous-  it acts like spiderwebs that condense and we see this as floaters. they tend to move with the eye, but in a wavy fashion   they tend not to go exactly where the eye goes.  some people percieve "spots" or specks in their vision as floaters-  these may simply be our own blood cells we are seeing moving through our retinal blood vessels.   it is unlikely the high blood pressure is the cause, unless it is very high and then it could cause "spots" in your vision, but u would have other symptoms like headaches   i hope this helped
