Freckle on the Iris
Went for a thorough eye exam, photos included and a black dot on my iris was discovered.  Doctor said that it could "just be a freckle" or cancer. Two tests are scheduled, the last one at the end of November is going to be an ultrasound.  Can't wait that long, after reading some posts. Any suggestions?  Also, can it really just be a freckle or is that what I am being told, to calm me down, until all test results are in?

Freckles on the iris are common, malignant tumors (almost always melanoma) are rather rare. Also the iris tumors tend to be low grade. Waiting until November is not that long. The odds are in your favor.
