Fuchs Uveitis?

by Lyn2356, Mar 21, 2009 05:36PM
I was diagnosed with Pars Planitis in my late teens. I have lots of floaters in one eye, a few in the other.
Now that I'm 49, I went to the optometrist for a regular check up and the pressure in my floater eye was 28. I now have an appointment with my retina specialist--but in the meantime I started researching glaucoma and uveitis and I came a across a reference to heterochromatic eyes- which I have. The eye with the floaters is light blue/grey with a brown stripe. Now I'm wondering if it's all related and is there more I should know. I've been seeing the same eye doc for 30 years and he's never mentioned anything.

Thanks.

pars planitis is not related to heterochromia (different color eyes). Eyes of a different color can get inflammation in the front of the eye (Fuchs hereterochromic iridocyclitis) but it is different than pars planitis.  So no they are not related.
