Fuzziness over everything

Fuzziness over everything

Yeah, I think I am just a tad paranoid, but I'm worried about somethign with my eyes...

You see, ever since I can remember, middle school, maybe even late elementary, I've had this thing where everything I see has a black film thing over it.. Not like film.. but more like snow.  Like if you looked at a t.v., you can usually see a constant snow over the picture (if you don't have a H.D. television or something).  It looks like that, but not too bad, but the snow is black.. and it's constantly moving, or so it seems.  Also sometimes I see little thigns shooting around out of my peripheralls (sorry for spelling), that doesn't happen to often, and when I'm really hot.   I don't see JUST the black.. I can see what's underneith it, it's just over it.  Also, the spots or "snow" is like microscopic.. it's not like big blotches or anything.  I do watch massive ammounts of t.v., and I am constantly on the computer.

It hasn't gotten worse or anything, it's the same, but I am a huge worrier and am deathly afraid of going blind..

Also, I've gotten my eyes checked before, I have 20/20 vision, so it does not affect my  reading or eyesight so much.. it's just a neusance.. but yeah like I said I am scared.. I didn't bring it up with the eye doctor either.. Any idea what this could be?

It's hard to tie all of your symptoms up in a neat package with a bow on it. Your last posting "ONE MORE THING" is consistent with a variant of ophthalmic or eye migraine. Your first posting is consistent with entoptic phenomena. There is an entitity called "visual snow". I would have to state that I have never made that diagnosis but this website and many others have postings from people alleging to having this problem.

Go to www.wikepedia and search entoptic phenomena and also use a search engline and look up "visual snow".

You need a baseline eye examination by an Eye MD (Ophthalmologist). Be sure you share these symptoms with your parents.

NOTHING IN YOUR POSTING SUGGESTS ANYTHING THAT WOULD CAUSE YOU TO GO BLIND--SO RELAX A LITTLE.

ONE MORE THING, when I was in elementary school I used to constantly push down somewhat hardly on my eyes for long periods of time until I saw stuff go flying by me.  It looked like I was going on a ride, so I just held down until I was done.  It would look like stuff was flying past me. Then whenever I opened my eyes I saw a white giatn spot in front of me, like I was staring at the sun or something.. Sometimes I randomly see that.. hardly ever tho.  Do you think I caused damage to my eyes?

I've explained my eye problems with my mom but she has no idea what it is and just passes it off as nothing.
THANK YOU SO MUCH for telling me I shouldn't worry, that's taken loads off my mind.  I feel so much better now, lol.  I will DEFINITELY look up those.  I feel really silly for my last post, but I was just worried.  Last night I told my mom that I did that and she said she did too so that eased my  mind a bit.  But yeah, thank you so much for your quick response, and I will definitely do as you said.  Thank you for your time!!!!

All you elementary school kids out there, DON'T push on your eyes like xsgtpsychotic did, I don't think she did any damage especially since that was long ago but it is possible to do some damage if you push hard enough and long enough.
