Gas bubble in the eye

by jphernandez2, Jun 22, 2008 02:11PM
My husband had the gas bubble procedure a few days ago. How long does it take for the gas bubble to be dissolved? Can somebody tell me if ater it dissolves, your sight is back to normal again?

I am not a doctor, but I am a retina patient. Welcome to our community.

Gas bubble varies--about a month. Vision adjust for 6 to 12 months. However, you really need to ask your surgeon. Only he can give you accurate answers. Call him tomorrow, and check in with all your questions.

I wish the best for your husband. Write back anytime.

Depends on what kind of gas (HS-6 or air), how much was put it. This is a question for your surgeon

i had the gas bubble put in 7 wks ago for RD. my doc told me i could fly, but i still have some residual bubble. am i wrong to be concerned about flying?

would traveling by auto through the mts cause the same side effects or is that safer since there is no cabin pressure involved?

Follow the head positioning instructions to the "T"  Mine went back to normal.  If you get glare because your pupil is stuck open, then the adhesion must be removed very simple 5 minute procedure using a 1mm incision which heals within 24 hours
