Genetic Eye Condition?

Ok this is probably going to sound really weird but I'm hoping y'all have had weirder questions than mine lol. Anyway i've made a lot of changes in my life lately, Lost over 150lbslbs, gotten a lot more healthier, gone Vegan, and I just recently move to a different state (from Alabama to California) anyways...right after I made my move...my eye color changed. They have been medium brown ever since birth, but now they are a medium-light blue, depending on the light that I'm in or what I'm wearing. I was totally freaked out when it happen and high tailed my butt to the ER..but they couldn't help me because I wasn't in pain, nor was my vision deteriorating. So I went back home and called my mom and told her about it. She thinks I've genetically "mutated" with all the changes that I've made, because my grandmother has the exact same eyes I have now, same iris patterns and color. But if we have the same eyes, wouldn't I have had blue eyes all along? Why would they just change all of a sudden? Is it permanent? Like I said, I just moved here so I'm currently looking for an eye doctor, but until then I just wanted to get y'alls opinion on this. It's been this color for about a month now, and hasn't gotten any darker or lighter. Thank you for your time!

It is possible for the iris color to change some over a lifetime, causes include age, medications. See an eye MD for a complete exam and to discuss. Take in a very old picture that show your old eye color and let the Eye MD seehow much its changed.

Likely your eyes are healthy and nothing else need be done.
