Getting Headaches

I have been getting headaches when I wear my eyeglasses for long periods of time. I do not wear contacts and I do not wear my glasses everyday or all of the time, I only use them when I drive at night or when I want to be able to see far away. I usually wear them for about 4 hours straight on Sundays and for the last several weeks I have come home with a terrible headache. I have decided that it must be the glasses because I do not get the headaches any other time. What could be the cause of this?

The glasses may not fit you properly. The prescription may have changed or you may have the type of correction (usually astigmatism) that is difficult for the eye to get use to when worn intermittently.
