Did you figure this out bevause i have the same thing ,i am 17 and it is really freaking me out that i have something serious
hello since you are in ur mid 20s..possible diagnosis
1.Dry eyes causing a higher oreder aberration especially towards the end of the day...can be reduced to a great extend by frequent eye blinking and eye lubricants...or a poor tear film
2.other higher order aberration most probably a spherical aberration noted especially in dark when eyes dilate which cant be correccted by normal glasses...may need contact glasses if quality of life affected..
3.An uncorrected myopia or regular astigmatism
4.An overcorrected or undercorrected myopia or regular astigmatism
5.very rarely keratoconus(do a corneal topography) or irregular astigmatism due to corneal scars
No need for worry...simple thing to correct except last one
You have what is known as "Nighttime Myopia" and can be corrected with a specific type of aspheric optics provided in Bausch + Lomb's PureVision contact lenses. Ask your Optometrist about them.
It is a condition that is most notible in your 20's. I had the same thing.

hello, did you ever find out what was up with the ghosting at night with your eyes, i have the same problem.
I have exactly the same problem................i cant tell how it looks without my glasses as i cant see well without my glasses, but when putting the glasses i see exactly as u described but my ghost image is above the bright object not below or beside it..............
it is really annoying, especially at night with all these stores with bright writings on them, and all the cars in the street...
the effect is reduced by moving my eyelids , but i cant get rid of it.......
i went to more than 5 ophthalmologists, and all saying that my glasses fits exactly my eyes.
also, it is so bad when u watch tv or just seeing a white writings on a dark background.
if u come up with any solution or anything, just let me know.
thanks,
ahmad
Thank you for the reply.
kjelltp, they move as I move my head.
You are describing an optical problem as your eyes dilate. Your glasses are either incorrect or you have some higher order aberrations that the glasses do not correct.
See an ophthalmologist.
Weird effect, are they fixed, or do they move? (the ghosted images).
