Glasses

Glasses

  January 25, 1999.
I would like to know why my eye specialist prescribes glasses
that are much stronger, even seemingly too much stronger.  The
reason I ask is that my glasses before the new prescription work
fine but after wearing my new prescription for several weeks, a
view wearing my old glasses is fuzzy.  Why is that so?
harlan-
hello- i will try to assist.  first of all, it may be that while you felt your current glasses were fine, your eye doctor found your vision to be less then optimal ( eg 20/20 ) when he tested you and he found that he could get you to 20/20 with a "stronger" pair of glasses. I would need to know your age and correction to get more specific. secondly, the reason your old glasses are now fuzzy relates to the discussion above- your new glasses are probably your correct glasses and you now percieve, properly, your old glasses as blurry. i hope this helps.
