Glaucoma after IOL implantation

Glaucoma after IOL implantation

I have been told I'm at increased risk for developing glaucoma in the future due to heavy pigmentation in my eyes.  My introcular pressure is currently in the normal range and I currently have no signs of glaucoma.

I'm going to have cataract surgery in a couple of weeks.  In the event I do develop glaucoma in the future, could the IOL implants be an issue for me?

No, cataract surgery generally LOWERS the IOP and helps glaucoma. Good luck.
