Going Blind when I close one eye

I have a friend who has been to several doctors now and they seem stumped. She is only 15 and when she closes one eye, no matter which eye, she becomes totally blind. Do you have any suggestions at what could cause this?

Has your friend gone to pediatric opthomogist. there are also retina specialist that maybe she can go to, they have some more training than regualr opthomologists. Was her vision tested for needing glasses to see if that helps.
