Growth on the conjunctiva

Growth on the conjunctiva

Hello!

I've found this growth on my conjunctiva. I have to look towards my nose and then it becomes visible, near the edge of the outer eye (once the globe is rotated). It looks like some extra conjunctiva tissue, but not hanging off or bunching up, like it might in chalasis but like it's grown on the conjunctiva. It's small and doesn't bother me any. I've discovered it by accident.

I've managed to get two pictures of it, but it's hard to make out since it's transparent like the conjunctiva:

In the second picture it is clearly visible. The white line in the red circle is light that's hit this growth and lit up a side of it like it's lit up that area further to the front (to the right of the circle). If this growth weren't there there'd be no reflection on that area of the globe.

Dear qwertx3822,

I would recommend that you seek the care of an eyeMD to determine the exact diagnosis.  He/she may recommend treatment options as well.
