HERPES

I was diagnosed with eye herpes about 2 weeks ago, was treates with acyclovir tablets and viroptic eye drops. It was getting better and all of a sudden it started all back again, stronger! My eye doctor sent me to a cornea specialist and after an exam he asked me to keep taking the acyclovir tablets (1 pill - 3x a day) and prescribed Pred Forte eye drops (Prednisolone Acetate 1%) 4x a day. Reading about this stereoid, I saw that it is not to be used on infections caused by virus (eg. Herpes). What should I do????? Thank you.

Yes, in general steroid are not used in Herpes.  However,  when the stroma is involved steroids need to be used.

So, today is the 2nd day with the acyclovir tablets (1 pill [400mg] - 3x a day) and Pred Forte eye drops (Prednisolone Acetate 1%) 4x a day and I woke up with my left eye really foggy. It seems like I put a white veil in front of it.... is this temporary? A side effect maybe that will go away? Anybody experienced this? Thank you.
