Halos, starbursts & a shadow of light next to lights.

I'm 29 male which used to have perfect health.

4 months ago, I started to see halos around lights & a shadow of light next to lights at night only. I also had a bad episode of Nausea & other symptoms which drs related it to some harsh food poisoning I got while being overseas.

It started with left yes & shadow was to left & then to right eye & shadow of light was to the right.

These are usually from LED lights & from flaurescent lights at night only. may be a bit of blurriness as well with lights only & lights somehow seem very bright. I also see something like a very light pulse in the left eye, the reason I say pulse because it goes with my heart beat, I only used to get that when I play intense sports or exercise heavily.

I went to 2 different opthol. done full exams with eye dilation & both said that no problem with eye at all. All checks came back normal. My eye sight is perfect & no loss or decreased vision. Just lights annoyances at night & I think its worse after I've been on PC as well.

My dr thinks its a symptom of anxiety/strees or weakness since I've been sick for around 2-3 months & haven't been eating well & if I eat well & exercise daily then it should go away.

I'm a heavy computer user due to work & had extremely high levels of stress/anxiety due to my illness specially that it all happened to me while I was overseas by myself

Anyone is or did experience anything like that at all?

cheers & thanks for your replies.

The computer would not cause these problems. In geneeral prolonged computer work can tire or fatigue the eyes but does not (thankfully) damage them.

Two normal examinations by ophthalmologists (EyeMDs) is very reassuring.

Stress, tension, anxiety can cause virtually any symptom. See what you can do to dial back the stress in your life.

No I cannot add anything that would be helpful.

Obviously if it gets worse or something new develops then see a cornea Eye MD and ask for a corneal topography to rule out irregular corneal astigmatism or keratoconus.
