Heavy landing after retinal re-attachment

Hello, I'm 67 and only slightly myopic. My retina was successfuly re-attached 2.5 months ago and the gas bubble has disappeared. The cause of the detachement was trauma.  I'd like to fly gliders (sail planes) again, but am concerned that a heavy landing may detach my retina a second time. Could this type of activity be a risk?

Many thanks.
