Holes In My Vision

Someone help me out here...I can't find anything about this.

For the record, I wear contacts and have a prescription of -3.25 in one eye and -3.00 in the other. This problem occurs in either eye when I'm not wearing my contacts.

When I look at a light source (say a streetlight at night, close or far), I see a black hole (blind spot) in the middle. It doesn't matter how bright or dim the light, there's always a hole in the middle of the source. The light I do see is extremely blurry, of course.

To me, a pair of headlights would appear as if two big, bright eyes with pupils half the diameter of the eye. I've been ignoring it for some time, but it seems to be worsening.

This is probably a retinal problem.  See an ophthalmologist.  Find one on AAO.org
