How common is Anisocoria?

I have anisocoria and had a CT scan to make sure there were no tumors etc.  There were none, I have noticed more of a difference recently and wonder how common this is.  Could I have had this all my life?  Does it just 'pop up' in some people?  What could cause the change in difference in size?  I have had alot of stress lately, could that be it?  Thanks.

Ty,
Anisocoria is not that common.  There are several causes.  Physiologic anisocoria (meaning normal) is  a difference between the two pupils of less than 1 mm in size.  Other possible causes include tumors, cranial nerve problems, trauma and Aides Pupil (NOT AIDS).  It is good that your CT is normal. You should see an ophthalmologist to further evaluate the possible causes.  Stress is most likely not related.
