How is the Technis IOL superior to an Alcon IOL

Could you please tell me the benifits of using a Technis IOL compared to an Alcon IOL.  Will the doctor have any problem using the Technis IOL if they are only use to using the ALcon IOL.

They are both very find IOLs and its likely that a patient with one in one eye and the other IOL in the fellow eye could not tell the difference. I think the surgeon and their skill and experience is a far more important factor than the choice between very find IOLs by very respected manufacturers.

Based on the surgeons I consulted, it seemed that most limit their practice to two or three different lenses, usually from the same manufacturer.  This enables them to fine tune their ability to select the correct power taking into account their surgical techniques, with obvious benefits for the patient.  So if your surgeon is experienced with the Alcon AcrySof IQ, that might be your best bet.
