I cant understand these results

I cant understand these results

I have my son's MRI results but I don't understand any of it. Here are the results:
He was approximately 4 months old at the time
Clinical Information: Bilateral nystagmus
Interpretation:
1. Mild to Moderate Bifrontal Cortical Cerebral Atrophy
2. Mild Ex Vacuo Dilatation of the Lateral Ventricles

Comments:
An MRI of the brain was performed on the General Electric Hi Speed Signa Horizon LX scanner.

There is moderate cortical cerebral atrophy with prominence of the extraaxial spaces particularly in the bifrontal regions and along the interhemispheric fissure. The cortical sulci are also prominent. The lateral ventricles appear somewhat prominent probably related to ex vacuo dilatation.

I do not see evidence of a midline shift or mass effect. The brainstem and cerebellum appear grossly unremarkable.

The myclination pattern for a patient of this age appears grossly unremarkable. However, clinical correlation is recommended.

The basal cisterns are patent.

Flow voids are identified within the bilateral distal vertebral arteries, basilar artery, and the bilateral internal carotid arteries.

The sella/parasellar structures, the intraorbital structures, and the internal auditory canals are grossly unremarkable.

If anyone can explain this in somewhat plain english I would greatly appreciate it I know he was diagnosed with Optic Nerve Hypoplasia and he received the MRI to determine the extent of the small nerve damage

You might want to post that on a radiology forum
