I want thinner lens

I have been born with bad eyesight and have been wearing glasses since I was 3 years old. I am 22 now and my prescription is around +8.50 to +9, I am unable to get laser surgery and there isnt contact lenses strong enough for me. Is there anything that can be done for me? My glasses are pretty thick.

I would suggest you contact two or three ophthalmologist eye MDs that do exclusively refractive surgery. These are your options as I seem them:
1. Do nothing drastic but work with an optician to make your glasses as thin and light as possible.
2. Work with a contact lens expert. there are contacts made that correct that amount of farsightedness.
3. Have hyperopic lasik. It will likely not correct all your hyperopia but if it corrected 50-70% that would be a big improvement.
4. Intraocular contact lens. New, considerable side effects but some people are happy.
5. Clear lens (refractive lens exchange) where you have a cataract/IOL operation even though you don't have a catract. You would have to have both eyes done. The risks are real and an eye as short as yours has some extra risks.
6. experimental corneal surgery. It may be that  the new femtosecond laser with offer a way to correct more hyperopia than traditional lasik.

See at least 3 surgeons so you understand your options.
