I want to do it

I want to do it(lasik) surgery.                    I had an exam and found I am a canidate      although I have alot of astigmatism. I mention that because the way Iunderstand it the laser first corrects my myopia then the astigmatism I am nervous about the results.    But I first have to get an outside source     to tell me I have the best doctor and the most qualified to under-go elective and expensive surgery. My husband says do it, dont over think it.                                  My question is - is there a source that lists the surgeons that have done lasik surgery and the results. I live around the Batimore/D.C. area and visit Detroit a few times a year.

a few words of advice from a lasik surgeon who has currently done about 100 cases-      maybe i am biased, but the number of cases alone cannot be your only criteria-  u need to find a caring, compassionate physician who will be with you every step of the way and be very up front and honest with you, in good and bad times.  it may seem that the easy thing to do is to simply find the surgeon who has done the most and go to them, but that does not guarantee that you will have a perfect result- and if u do not-  will that same surgeon be there for u the whole way??? see, that is really important.  as to results i doubt that u will find anyone who actually publishes results, they will tell you verbally though their "success" rates-  If you are interested we would love to see you here at Henry Ford Eye Care Services.  Simply call 1-800-363-7575 for an appointment.  if numbers are a concern we have very experienced surgeons who have done hundreds of lasiks, and with excellent results.  good luck.
