Does the Intraocular lens (IOL) affect the Glaucoma?

Why does the medical internet pages write that the (IOL) is not suitable for Glaucoma Patients?

About 15% of my cataract surgery patients have some degree of glaucoma so most posterior  chamber IOLs can be used with no negative effect on glaucoma. Now remember that the surgery itself will have effects on  the glaucoma and these patients need very careful attention after surgery to monitor the intraoculuar pressure and treat accordingly. Please have a detailed  talk about this with your ophthalmologist since cataract surgery in glaucoma patients needs to be custom tailored to each individual patient.
