IOL eye pain

IOL eye pain

I had both eyes corrected with Multifocal IOL 16 months ago.  Recently, about 2 months, I started feeling pain in my right eye which went away if I did stretching exercises with the eye.  These last few days the eye pain is back and the stretching exercises (rotating the eye as far as it can go left, right, up down) do not help.  The vision improves with the exercises but the pain is still present along with the eye feeling full or slightly swollen.
Is this just one of the side effects?
By the way I absolutely LOVE the multifocal IOLs. I can see without glasses, day, night and inbetween. Some strainging at the computer but that has always been a problem pre-IOLs.

Out of curiosity - what implant do you have?  Your stretching exercises are 'far out" and sort of curious.  I see no real value in them at all.  See an ophthalmologist to see if you have dry eye syndrome, keratitis, lid  margin disease or other causes.  I seriously doubt the IOL has anything to do with your current problem.

According to the card I as given, I have the Alcon Lab ReSTOR IOLs in voth eyes.
With regard to the eye exercises, they really work!  When my eye aches inside, I do these exercises. As I first start them it seems to exaservate the ache, but after a few stretching rolls it deminishes and after about 5-6 stretches in all directions the aches is gone.

I will take your suggestion and see a Dr.

I looked up the other possible causes, I do not have Lid Margin Disease and the Keratitis is a stretch, but possible. Dry eyes is more probable.

Thank you for taking the time to answer my question.

Your comment about the eye exercises was useful.
I have a question for you.
I had a restor multifocal IOL implanted 2 1/2 weeks ago. My eyes are each about a -8.0 very nearsighted without a great deal of astigmatism. How long did it take you to have good vision with your Restor lens and what degree of nearsightedness did you have prior?
I am asking because I was scheduled to have my second eye done this week, but I am fairly certain I will not do this yet, because my vision at all distances is not good enough to be without glasses. I was expecting a better result by now. As it is I now need more types of glasses and contact lenses than I did with my variable lenses. Wondering if I should have just gone with the regular IOL that would only have corrected for distance.
I would be happy to hear your or other's opinions on the length of time to have good vision with Restor for high myopia patients.
Thanks
