Weiss ring. I also have PVD and see evidence of the extensive lasering in my right eye.

I was a wreck last night because I had new symptoms of the above. I wrote in.

I saw the doctor today; he says that I will see a lot of things in the future, in my eye. I told him that I could handle seeing anything if I could also read, see my daughter, admire babies, pets, flowers, and people--the world. My right "good" eye is good and my left eye "looks" good, even though I cannot see much with it. I have lost vision in the left eye because of lattice degeneration, retinal detachment, excessive scar tissue, and hypotony.

This is great news about my left eye. I have been fighting to save my left eye, and the chances look good. An ocular plastics surgeon has also told me my chances are excellent.

Vision loss is a terrible emotional loss and it creates turbulent change in one's life. When Hurricane Katrina hit new Orleans, I wish we could have been at the R's or P's, instead of the K's. That hurricane should have been named "RD" for retinal detachment, or PVR for proliferative vitreoretinopathy.

I am very tires from no sleep last night, so I hope I make sense.

I am happy to hear your good news!! Vision loss is very emotional and it's hard for those who don't experience it to understand our feelings. I too am hoping to gain more vision in my Left eye sometime this year but I'm also afraid of it not working again!! my last 2 surgeries haven't changed much...
I hope you got some rest and can now face the day with some optimisim!!!

I hope that you can regain vsion. I will read about your surgeries again. Too bad that I am too old to go to medical school, maybe I could help...just kidding, or not really.
I am going to arrange some intensive therapy and to review my medication, so that I can deal better with all this, and get more of the support that we all need.
