My mother had cataracts removed from both eyes September (L) and October (R) and had wonderful results ! She see's wonderfully and for the first time in 5 years she feels comfortable driving a car again. She does have extreme sensitivity to light, especially sunlight and although she just throws on some sunglasses and moves on, it worries me a little.
In addition ~ she still has that feeling that something is in her eye and its irritating her. I can actually see on the whites of her eye if she looks to the right ~ what looks like a pimple but its white like her eye. Is this a scar ? And should it be removed ?

You should have the surgeon look at it with his biomicroscope (slit lamp). It could be a suture or something called a filtering bleb. In anycase its not nomal for it to feel like there is something in the eye and I'm sure the surgeon would like to look at it.
