Intermittent, medium pain behind left eye following conjunctivitis

Intermittent, medium pain behind left eye following conjunctivitis

I was diagnosed with conjunctivitis just over 1 week ago and was prescribed Chloramphenicol drops to use for 1 week. I have used this and while the redness has almost completely reduced, it still feels a little like I have something in my eye and every so often (every few minutes to every twenty minutes) I have a quick, medium pain which feels like it is at the back of my left eye (the one which was infected). Is this the end signs of conjunctivitis? Should I get some more eye drops? Could this be a sign of anythign else?

No it is not typical of conjunctivitis. More antibiotic drops will not likely help. Yes there are other things that could cause it. See an Eye MD ophthalmologist.
